Justin Allen Tjampitjimpa is a Pintupi man living at 5 mile outstation, Papunya. Justin grew up during the era of Pintupi people moving back to their homelands further west of Papunya and therefore has lived in Papunya, Kintore and Kiwirkurra finally returning to Papunya with his Children. As a child Justin learnt the practice of Tjilirra (traditional tool making) from local elder Lesley Gorey. This knowledge is sacred to Justin and handing this knowledge down is very important to him. With the help of his grandson Clive Corby and Jamie Tjupurrula, Justin is often out bush teaching the young men of Papunya how to make Tjilirra.
