This painting is about the Wanampi at Wayilimpa, a story from Nathan's grandfather's country near Yeundemu. The Wanampi at Wayilimpa is under ground, underneath a rock hole there. Wanampi travels everywhere, changing colour, making rain and changing the landscape. Lots of people can't see them and lots of people can. They fly through the sky and over the mountains. Down on earth fences rust and fall down and trees grow, but the Wanampi and the ancestral spirits remain.
