Ulumparru Rock Hole
Synthetic Polymer On Linen
152x107 cm
Ulumparru is the name shared by both the mountain range alongside Papunya, and the water holes that one of its large crevices give life to. Ulumparru is the country to which the artist and his family belong. Having spent countless hours at Ulumparru, the artist knows the water holes intimately and thus depicts the course of the water from his own feeling and memory. The water at Ulumparru flows down the mountain filling up many different rock holes in times of abundance. The artist represents this journey made by the water.
